Note: Judah, born August 19, 1705, was married February 15, 1727, to Marcy Burgess, and died April 14, 1794. She died January 25, 1795. His grave is by that of his wife in the old cemetery near the South Dennis depot.

Sears, Mary (b. , d. 25 MAR 1687)
Note: Helen Dunton Gilchrest, in "The Ancestors and Descendants of Robert Franklin Dunton of Belfast, Maine," p. 28, identifies without documentation the wife of Peter Worden, Jr. as Mary Sears: "Mary Sears Worden was probably related to Richard Sears, the Pilgrim, but she is not listed as one of his children. She may have been his sister. The Worden property adjoined that of Richard Sears. Mary's will was witnessed by two of Richard's sons. The inventory was taken by another of his sons."

Burgess, Jacob (b. 18 OCT 1676, d. 1769)
Note: The third son of Thomas, helped to repair the meeting-house in1644, and was early a member of the church. He served the town for many years in the subordinate offices of surveyor, constable and grand juror. He took the oath of allegiance in 1657. He inherited, in behalf of his son Thomas, the paternal estate in Sandwich, while the other brothers removed, Thomas to Newport, John to Yarmouth, and Joseph to Rochester. He was one of the Executors of his Father's will

Burgess, Thomas (b. MAR 1680, d. 1757)
Note: This Thomas was a child of four years, when the grandfather made his Will, and entailed him to the old homestead, both in honor of his name and to perpetuate the estate in the family. Vain are human plans. Having no Male heir surviving, he constitued Zaccheus, the eldest son of his brother Jacob, as his true and lawful heir, giving him a deed of the homestead, dated February 18, 1754

Snow, Mark (b. 9 MAY 1628, d. ABT DEC 1694)
Note: A man of large usefulness and influence. In 1679"Select Courts" "being established by law, Capt Jonathan Sparrow, Mr Mark Snow & Mr John Doane were commissioned to hold them in this town." In 1675 Mark Snow was chosen deputy, and continued deputy for six years. In 1667 Mark Snow was chosen selectman, and was selectman eighteen years. Snow, Jonathan (b. 30 JAN 1690, d. AFT 18 APR 1764)
Note: Jonathan Snow went with his father to Rochester and in 1729 is oneof the proprietors. All his children births are listed in the Rochester Town Records.

Jonathan Snow removed to Old Rochester , Plymouth, Ma., with his father, Nicholas Snow. Snow's Pond was named after his father, the Snow Homestead is situated on it's shores, a beautiful natural lakelet with steep wooded shores and an island within. The town of Old Rochester was split up into other towns, the old lands are now Mattaposette, Rochester, Wareham and Marion.

William Bradford and partners,, bought the town of sandwich, Cape Cod from the Indians for 16 Lbs., 19 shillings in comodities, c 1637

William Bradford sold for 16 Lbs., 19 shillings in his hand the town of Sandwich to Judge Edward Freeman, 24th January, 1647

Samuel Sherman, Deed. He of Ware River for 4 Lbs, conveys to Jonathan Snow of Rochester, Ma. , land in Rochester, Ma. containing all the land which Nicholas Snow late of Rochester, Ma. gave to his Grand-daughter Mary Sherman who is one of the children of Prince Snow, which Prince is the son of said Nicholas Snow and since the death of Mary belongs to her two sons named Thomas Sherman and Prince Sherman, children of mine, the said Samuel Sherman.

Jonathan and Thankfull Freeman Snow removed to Old Rochester, Plymouth county, Mass. with his father Nicholas Snow. The snow homestead is situated on the banks of a small natural body of water which became known as Snow's Pond. the pond had steep wooded shores and an island in it.
