Settled 1796 Huntingdon Co PA or [Half Moon] Centre Co PA d. 9 May 1822 [Buried: Graysville, Huntington Co PA]

From Nancy Elder Petersen:
"American Revolutionary Soldiers of Franklin Co PA" , p. 86:
"David ELDER m. Jane Boggs, moved to Spruce Creek, Huntingdon Co, had 5 sons and 3 dau."

John's father David appears in the Spruce Creek, Franklin Twp., Huntingdon County, Pennsylvian census from 1790 through 1820. So this is probably where John was born and raised.
